AP STATISTICS 615


 Prerequisites: Algebra II with a “B” or better.

This course is designed to introduce students to the subject of statistics with an emphasis on statistical inference. Topics
covered will fall into the following categories: Definitions and concepts used in statistics, the mathematics of statistics,
the applications of statistics in the real world, and the use of the computer and/or calculator as a tool in statistics.
 
A TI-84+ or better calculator
is required. This class carries an additional 1.0 weight.
 
AP Test required.

ADVANCED PLACEMENT (AP)


The AP Program is a collaborative effort among motivated students, dedicated teachers and committed high school,
college and universities. AP programs allow student to take college-level courses and exams, and to earn college credit
or placement while still in high school. Mount Vernon offers AP courses in the following areas: English, Calculus,
Biology, French, Physics, Statistics, and Spanish.
Students should meet with guidance counselors if planning to take more that one AP course during a school year.


Homework

Although homework assignments are planned out in advance,
the actual assignment changes every period. I base this on the length
of the lesson, and how well the students grasped the lesson. If there are questions
on what the homework assignment is, please look on Google Classroom.
