 Get Plugged In
Mount Vernon High School takes great pride in the academic and cocurricular/extracurricular activities offered to students.  While the ultimate goal is for our student body to graduate within four years, meeting the requirements by the local board of education as well as the state, we want students to get plugged into our school community.  We want students to learn to co-exist in a building with many different attitudes, beliefs and experiences.  We will work with students to take ownership in their education, conduct and preparation for the next chapter in life.  We are fortunate for our community partnerships and welcome the engagement in the lives of our student body.  We look forward to serving the youth of our community.

History day competitors standing with Mr. Fetters. Henricksen Advances to State History Day Competition
 Four of Mr. Fetters' KAP US History  students participated in the Region 6 History Day research paper contest  on Saturday at Ohio Wesleyan University.  Maddie Henricksen won Region 6, and will compete at the State Competition.   Read More... for details and picture. 
MVHS Representation at the 2019 Ohio Youth Governor's Art Show
Seventeen MVHS students earned accolades for having artwork accepted into the Regional Show of the Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition.  Chase Holdener had two pieces accepted into the prestigious State Show.  Judges from the state level select the top 350 pieces from 11,500 submissions.
