Meet Miss Folts...
My name is Ms. Folts, and this is my third year teaching music at Dan Emmett and East Elementary.   Previously, I taught music abroad in Guyana, South America.  There I taught violin, piano and general music to students ages 11 to 76.
Currently, I am completing my Masters in Music Education with a Kodaly Emphasis at Capital University.  I received my Bachelor's in Music Education at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.  While there, I participated in the St. Olaf Orchestra as a violist, and Cantorei Choir as a Soprano II.   In Mount Vernon I have participated in the Knox County Symphony, and in Columbus, I have sung in Capital Universitie's Choral Union.
In music class your child can look forward to singing; playing instruments; reading, writing, and composing music; and performing in one or more music programs.
More Musical Opportunities!

Does your child love music? Here are some opportunities for them to make music outside of class!
