REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS AND NOTICE OF PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE

NOTICE is hereby given that Proposals are requested for Food Service Management and will be received, publicly opened and immediately read thereafter by the Mount Vernon City Schools Board of Education through Judy Forney, Treasurer at the Mount Vernon City Schools Board of Education offices, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, on May 31, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the Board Conference Room, 300 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, OH  43050.

Copies of the Request for Proposals will be available at the Mount Vernon City Schools Board of Education offices, 300 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, OH  43050 beginning on April 22, 2024, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday excluding legal holidays and via email to [email protected].

A pre-proposal conference with interested proposers to review the specifications, to clarify any questions, and for a walk-through of the facilities with school officials will be held on May 9, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Mount Vernon City Schools Board of Education Office, 300 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, OH  43050. Attendance is required.

Proposals must be submitted in sealed packages. The sealed packages shall be delivered between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, to the Treasurer’s Office of the Mount Vernon City Schools Board of Education Office, 300 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, OH  43050. The sealed packages shall bear the name and address of the proposer and shall be marked "Food Services Management Proposal." The original and three (3) copies of each proposal should be submitted.

All proposals MUST be submitted and time- stamped by the Superintendent’s; Office no later 11:00 a.m. on May 31, 2024. Proposals will not be accepted after this time.  The Mount Vernon City Schools Board of Education will not be liable for any proposals lost in the mail or misdirected by any party.

Evaluation of proposals is expected to begin on June 3, 2024 and be completed by June 7, 2024 Negotiations with Food Services Management Companies will begin following evaluation. The projected award date for the contract is July 5, 2024. These dates are subject to change based upon the number and nature of received proposals, ISS approval process, and any unforeseen factors.

The Mount Vernon City Schools Board of Education reserves the right to reject all proposals or to waive informality if such would be in the best interests of the Board of Education.
