Instrument Recruiting

Starting in 6th grade, students have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument during the school day. Playing an instrument has many benefits to student learning. Research shows that music study contributes to academic success, character development, self-discipline, and social growth. For many students, membership in the Mount Vernon Band or Orchestra is one of the most memorable experiences of their school career.
