Biographical Information:
I am one of the 8th Grade Science teachers at Mount Vernon Middle School. I studied at Mount Union College (now Mount Union University), where I received a B.S. in Computer Science. While in college, I started working as a camp counselor during my summers. After I graduated, I taught Outdoor School for three years at different camps in both California and Ohio. When I finished teaching my third year of outdoor school, I went back to school two more times where I received two different masters degrees: most importantly is the M.A.Ed. from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Middle Childhood Education. I enjoy playing ultimate frisbee, playing guitar and ukulele, riding my bike, coaching cross country and track (and injuring myself while trying to pole vault) and long walks on the beach (because who doesn't?).
