Anthony Springer is in his tenth year, 15th overall, as orchestra director for the Mount Vernon City School District. He holds a Master of Music Education from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Music Education from The College of Wooster. Mr. Springer is a professional member of the Ohio Music Education Association and currently serves as a string adjudicator and East-Central Region Treasurer.
Mr. Springer's primary instrument is the cello. He performs with the Knox County Symphony, several string quartets, and other ensembles in the area. Mr. Springer is also the chairperson for the Old-Time Fiddle Contest at the Dan Emmett Music & Arts Festival held in August.
Mr. Springer currently lives near Gambier, Ohio with his wife, three children, and his Boston Terrier, Mahler.
