Key Club Plants Yellow Tulip Project

After attending Key Club's Fall Rally in Columbus last year and hearing about the Yellow Tulip Project, Olivia Wiley and Jada Breeding decided to initiate community awareness here in Mount Vernon. Through their leadership, the students spent three hours on Saturday planting yellow tulips around the high school in honor of Mental Health Awareness Week and the National Mental Health Day. This is a Key Club project to promote awareness and hope. When they bloom in the spring, Key Club will once again draw attention to the symbolic presence of hope after a winter of dormancy. The Key Club would like to thank Lowe's and Country Colors Greenhouse for the donation of the tulips.
