Debate Team At State Tournament - Earlandson Sets New School Debate Record.
The MVHS Speech and Debate team competed at the state tournament over the weekend - an event that features approximately the top 1/3 of all competitors statewide. Senior Curtis Erlandson broke a MVHS record for advancement to the semi-final round in any event, securing his place among the top 12 competitors for International Extemporaneous Speaking in the state of Ohio. Sophomore Elizabeth Clarkson, pictured on the left, advanced to the quarter-final round for Congressional Debate. Please congratulate these students, along with their teammates Kylie Goudy, Clare Mazzei, Charlie Mayville, Ashley Parsons, Zach Broeren, and Conner Benedetti. Coaches Gottke and Peyton are very proud of their accomplishments!
