The Twin Oak Battle of the Books team won the county championship Thursday night! The team, made up of Carter Thompson, Alexa Marsell, Selah Payne, Hannah Blubaugh, Noah McCallen, Simon Peterson, Grace Humphrey, Joey Ferguson, and Tanner Nutter met the challenge of reading 88 books from the Battle list, memorizing their titles and authors, and answering more questions correctly than any team in the county.
The round-robin style competition included teams from all MVCSD elementary schools, Centerburg, East Knox, Saint Vincent de Paul, Fredericktown, and Danville.
