New Library Procedure
Mount Vernon City Schools has a new library  “check out” procedure in place to improve communication with parents/guardians.  This new procedure sends an email to parents and students including the title of the book, author’s name, due date, and some other miscellaneous information.   Our goal is not to inundate you with emails but provide you with an opportunity to have conversations about the books your child checks out.   The email also serves as a record/reminder of when books are due to be returned.  We are excited to add this email notification to our checkout procedures and hope you will find it useful as well.

If you are not receiving emails when your child has checked out a library book please update your email address in the Parent Portal.  If you need assistance changing or updating your email in MV's Parent portal please feel free to call our district receptionist at (740) 397-7422 or email your concern to
