MVHS Teacher, Mary Jo Behrensmeyer, a Finalist for 2017 Ohio Teacher of the Year

Mrs. Mary Jo Behrensmeyer has been selected as a finalist for the 2017 Ohio Teacher of the Year award.  A long-time Latin teacher and World Language Department Head, Mrs. Behrensmeyer exemplifies the excellence in education for which the award represents.  The Ohio Department of Education instituted this program in 1969 to honor and celebrate excellence in teaching and the teaching profession.  We are truly fortunate to have Mrs. Behrensmeyer serving the students, staff and community of Mount Vernon!
