Hello and welcome to my page! My name is Tamara Carlson and I am the School Social Worker at Wiggin Street Elementary.
Regarding my background and experience, I graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies. I completed my Master of Social Work degree in 2004 from the University of Maryland at Baltimore. I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) and have worked in a variety of settings including schools, child welfare and foster care agencies, and hospitals. My passion is working with children and families providing support and guidance to help every student reach their highest potential!
It is a privilege to be a part of the MVCSD and Wiggin Street families. I look forward to seeing all the new and returning students and families this year.
