Nick Coon has been teaching in the Mount Vernon City School District since 2010. He was named Mount Vernon High School head basketball coach in 2015. Coon graduated from The University of Findlay with a Bachelor's Degree in Adolescent/Young Adult Mathematics and Pure Mathematics. He also holds a Master's Degree in Education from Findlay. While at Findlay, Coon played basketball for the Oilers. During the 2008-09 season, Coon, was part of helping the Oilers finish the season with a perfect 36-0 record en route to the NCAA Division II National Championship.
