Welcome to my second grade class. This is my 29th year of teaching, 5 years at second grade and 21 in the third grade here at Columbia. My first two years of teaching were at the Middle School teaching math and science. I am SUPER excited to start this new school year! I graduated from Mt. Vernon and actually went to elementary school here at Columbia! I received my teaching degree from Ohio Northern University and my master's degree in curriculum development from Ashland University.
My husband, David, and I live in Mount Vernon with our daughter, Lydia, and our two dogs, Trinket and Selene. Lydia graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 2021 and attended elementary school at Columbia. Lydia attends Ohio Wesleyan and is majoring in Zoology and Environmental Science. We have three grown children (DJ, Jessica, and Samantha) and six grandchildren (Kam, Davian, Monte, Bronson, Cooper, and Mila) My family enjoys camping and spending time with family and friends.
