Pleasant Street Elementary School - Delay Schedule

Mount Vernon City Schools will use 2-hour delays as necessary. During a delay, children riding buses will be picked up two hours later than their usual time. If we are on a 2-hour delay, families will still need to listen to the radio to see if a decision is made to close school. Weather conditions may make it necessary to change our plans.

If school mus   t be closed or the opening delayed because of inclement weather or other conditions, the Superintendent’s office will notify the following radio and TV stations:
WMVO/WQIO (AM-1300/FM-93.7) WNZR
WSNY ONN
WTVN (News Radio WCMH (Channel 4)
WSYX (Channel 6) WBNS (Channel 10)

Breakfast will not be served if we have a 2-hour delay.
