 This is a letter to elementary parents from Superintendent William Seder Jr. to inform you about an important update in Ohio's education curriculum that affects your child's school experience.  Ohio’s 134th General Assembly enacted Senate Bill 288, which updated the prescribed curriculum for health education, adding requirements related to child sexual abuse prevention, dating violence prevention, and sexual violence prevention.

Mount Vernon City Schools invites our community to enjoy an evening of jazz music from the talented Middle School Jazz Band. The “Tops 'N' Pops” jazz concert will be held in the Middle School Commons this Friday, April 26th. at 7:00 PM.

The Art Department is delighted to extend an invitation to our community members to join us for the Senior Art Exhibition and Governor's Art Exhibition.  The exhibition will run from May 9 through May 21 from 1 PM to 5PM at the MVNU Schnormeier Gallery.

Seven of our outstanding students recently represented Mount Vernon High School in the Capital University Comet Sales Competition, and they have truly made us proud!

The Mount Vernon High School Choirs will present their annual May Fiesta Dinner Show on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 6pm in the Middle School Commons. Audiences will hear a variety of musical styles while enjoying a sit down pasta dinner!
